Steering Committee

Following a public meeting on June 7th 2007, a steering committee was formed in Wanganui to establish the feasibility of developing an Abbeyfield house in the district.

The committees role:

1. To establish there is a demand for Abbeyfield style supported living from older people in the region, and
2. If there is a need,
1. To investigate possible sites, including one identified in Cambridge Street that was formally the site of a Methodist church;
2. To develop a concept plan; and
3. To explore alternative funding scenarios
