Membership of Abbeyfield New Zealand puts you right at the heart of our organisation, giving you access to the latest news, the ability to be involved in local or national governance, and the right to vote at Annual General Meetings.
It's a simple and cost effective way to support Abbeyfield, and individual and corporate memberships are available. Simply download the form below, complete and send to us at the address given.

Volunteer

Volunteers are the very heartblood of Abbeyfield: without them our houses simply could not provide the affordable, caring accommodation service that benefits so many residents.  
When you volunteer with Abbeyfield you know that you are impacting directly on the lives of older people. And volunteering with Abbeyfield could make a real difference to your life too. 
Our volunteers bring an incredible range of skills and experience to Abbeyfield, which is a real bonus for our residents.  Within local Abbeyfield Societies, roles typically include:

  • Chairperson
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • House Committee Chair or House Manager 
  • Applications / residency officer
  • Fundraising
  • Marketing and publicity
  • Maintenance

Bequest

Leaving a gift to Abbeyfield in your will (a bequest) is a valuable way of helping us grow and develop. Abbeyfield NZ and local Societies warmly welcome this kind of support.

  • Abbeyfield New Zealand Incorporated is a registered charity and donations may be eligible for tax rebates. Donations support our operating costs, strengthening our capacity to develop new houses in more communities. 
  • The Abbeyfield Foundation Charitable Trust was registered in July 1999 with the purpose of accepting gifts,donations and legacies to be used as capital to develop new Abbeyfield Houses, refurbish existing Abbeyfield Houses and promote the Abbeyfield ideals. The Trustees would be pleased to receive additional donations, legacies or grants.  Simply click on  the link to our Give a Little' page below, see the section on bequests above, or contact our national office.  

Receipts qualifying for tax rebates will be issued.
