Affordable, quality accommodation
We offer affordable, high quality living for people who want to be as self-reliant as possible without the worry of maintaining your own home so that you can enjoy peace of mind.
Eligibility
Anyone over 65 years of age who is able to care for their personal needs independently may be considered for residency.
A weekly charge covers all food, heating, housekeeper, rates, house telephone etc. and residents have full access to laundry and communal living areas. To obtain further information, view the property or stay for a short period to trial the Abbeyfield lifestyle please contact the Chairman.
About this house
Our experienced house keeper ensures that the house is warm, comfortable and safe and that the daily meals provided are varied, nutritious and enjoyable.
All studios are en suite and all rooms are unfurnished, so that you can bring your own furniture, truly making it your home. The two storey house was specifically designed and built for us. It is very accessible as it has a lift servicing the upper floor and is level throughout, suitable for wheelchair and walker frame users.
Abbeyfield house management
The property is managed by Abbeyfield Dunedin Inc. a registered NZ charity. Each resident participates in the house management through their participation in the House Committee. The volunteer, non-profit management contributes to our ability to provide quality accommodation at an affordable cost.
