A crowd of supporters joined in the recent blessing of the site of the planned Abbeyfield house in Katikati. The event also celebrated the progress made so far in fundraising for the house. The Abbeyfield Western Bay of Plenty committee has now raised all the funds needed to buy the site in Wills Rd, and the title is held by Abbeyfield Properties. The committee is pictured left at the event, which included a blessing in both Māori and English, followed by afternoon tea for all the guests.
