Palmerston North Abbeyfielder Katrine Imrie was recently honoured for her community service by being presented with the Older Woman of the Year award by Age Friendly Palmerston North.

Katrine has been the manager of the Abbeyfield Palmerston North house since 2016 and is also a member of the Abbeyfield New Zealand board. The award recognises her outstanding service to the community through her work with Abbeyfield and other organisations such as Rotary, Neighbourhood Support and Strive Rehabilitation.

The Abbeyfield Palmerston North committee described Katrine as a “tireless driving force” in the committee and said her dedication to her role as house manager was outstanding.
