Jude Clark, from Abbeyfield Masterton, has received the Abbeyfield Champion Award for her amazing contribution over the past 10-plus years. The special award was presented by Abbeyfield New Zealand to mark the 30th anniversary of Abbeyfield in New Zealand.

Jude, who is currently chair of Abbeyfield Masterton’s house committee, was recognised for her tireless energy and enthusiasm, even in challenging times. She was described as a “force of nature”.

Jude was presented with her award at the recent Abbeyfield New Zealand conference. Two champion awards were presented this year, with the other award going to Abbeyfield Dunedin housekeeper Robyn Thomson, for going the extra mile to enhance the quality of life for the house’s residents for 15 years.
